Washington Summer

The plan was to drive through British Columbia to visit some of Alaska’s national parks over the summer, but because of the border closure, we stayed in Washington. We spent a lot of time on the coast, which seemed like some sort of weird weather anomaly. It was chilly, dreary and gray most days with a mist that damped your clothes.. in the middle of summer. (Just a bit east was warm and sunny.) In hindsight we should have moved on earlier than we did. Oh well. We had some good days. Hope to get to Alaska some day. 😄

Bridge between Oregon and Washington. We watched the 4th of July fireworks here.
Long Beach, WA. This was a great town.
Even the seagull looks chilly.
Hoh Rainforest, Olympic National Park
Harry loved running on the beach…
…clearly. 😂 He needed a bath each time.
We got a really awesome kite in Washington.
Cape Disappointment. (That’s really the name.)
Renting mopeds was one of the highlights. We rode them on the beach and in town.
We went orca watching in the San Juan Islands.
Leaving Washington.. the red sun from the wildfires.
