RV THERE YET?

We’ve travelled the country in an RV!

We travelled fulltime in our fifth wheel RV from late June 2019 until September 2021 and had an amazing adventure. Highlights included travelling the Pacific coast three summers in a row. We wintered in Florida the first year, Texas the second, and are now settled in Arizona permanently. (No more winter!) We visited so many national & state parks and got to see the country. We spent covid lockdown in Texas. Things changed after that, as they did for everyone, but we made it. A lot of events and locations were closed or canceled. But we felt fortunate to be in the RV, to be honest, and already set up to work and homeschool remotely. No regrets!

FAQ

Q: How long will you be travelling?

A: Not sure. Probably a few years.

Q: Where all will you be going?

A: Not sure. There are some places we’d like to see, but nothing is set in stone. We’re pretty flexible. We love visiting national parks. We feel lucky to have been able to see what we have already!

Q: Will you visit all 50 states?

A: No – very doubtfully. We don’t have any checklists.

Q: The name of the blog?

A: When Jackson was little he used to whisper “I wish for cookies” before blowing out his birthday candles. A simple and heartfelt wish like our desire to do this trip. So it seemed natural to name the blog after it. Jackson also came up with the tagline “Because cookies are yummy.”

Q: Do you enjoy travelling in an RV?

A: YES! We all love it. And it’s important that we ALL enjoy it. This has been the most awesome opportunity and experience.

Q: Where will you end up?

A: Not sure. Probably somewhere dry. warm. sunny. (UPDATE: We settled in Arizona.😁)

Q: How long did you live in the RV?

A: 2 yrs, 3 mos, 2 wks
