Third time’s a charm. On our third visit to the Van Fleet Trail, we saw two alligators! The Van Fleet Trail is a rails-to-trails bike path in rural Florida. (More details in the last post.) Jackson was thrilled to see the alligators in their natural habitat. We’ve also seen over a dozen turtles here.

UPDATE: Fourth and Final Visit

On our fourth 10-mile bike ride at the trail we saw a pile of young alligators and another egret. Riding bike here was awesome!

That brings our total on this trail to:

• 1 otter

• 2 egrets

• 5+ alligators

• & over a dozen turtles.
